Just the Facts: The Things You Never Think About

If you’re a friend of mine, then you know that I find everything that is either extremely small, such as cells, bacteria, and so on, as well as things that are extremely large, such as our galexy, the universe, etc, to be extremely interesting.  And to wrap your head around these concepts that I’m about to talk about will take a lot of thinking, brain power, and ability to open up and accept new ideas.

In no way am I saying you should take these as fact.  Never, ever, EVER take things as total fact as soon as you hear them.  Just because there is a TV show about it, a news article in the paper, or somebody tells you doesn’t mean that it is correct.  So until you do your own research to back this up, take it with a grain of salt.

Here is the link to the Universe: Parallel Universes .  The entire program is about fourty-five minutes long.  I recommend watching the entire thing as it is extremely interesting.

Here is the thing that is still sinking into my mind; Anything that is physically possible actually does occur in some parallel universe. I am not going to go into details too much myself- If you want to know, watch the entire episode.  They are very thorough in their explanations, so you won’t need a doctorate in Physics to understand what they are talking about.  This is just another thing to help open up your mind a little bit.  If you still think that there isn’t any other forms of life out there, however, I’d say you obviously haven’t been reading my blog before.

The sheer size of the Universe (if not Multi-Verse) is completely unfathomable.  There are billions upon billions of GALEXIES in the universe.  Mathamatically speaking there is an extremely high chance that there is a carbon copy of Earth, the solar system, and all the planets somewhere in our Universe.  Freaky, huh?  Think of it this way; if you take a deck of cards, shuffle them, and then flip them number-side up and spread them out, what are the chances that you’re going to get duce through ace in each of their respective suits?  Obviously it’d be nearly impossible without trying to cheat.  You could shuffle all your life and never get the straight duce-ace, hearts-spades-clubs-diamonds spread.  However, if you were to do it forever, you’ll eventually get it.

I think that the entire subject is amazing.  There is still so much we don’t know about; our Universe (or possibly Multiverse), our Planet, and even our own bodies!  Genetics is just now starting to unravel for us.  We’re able to see exactly how DNA effects who we are, what diseases we get, and how our children will look.  We’re still discovering new species, bacteria, plants, fish… It’s amazing that even after being the dominant species for thousands and thousands of years, with all the technilogical advances we’ve made, and with the millions of explorers and researchers, we still really don’t know all that much about our planet.

According to this acticle by Fox News, it is estimated that 90% of species on the earth are yet to be discovered.  Bacteria especially, since it is everywhere; on our bodies, in our bodies, on everything we touch… kind of gross, I know.

We’re just now figuring out how memories form.  We’ve been making memories for thousands on years, yet just now figuring out how it really works. It’s quite amazing, too, with all the technology that we’ve been introduced to in the past few years.

Does  your brain hurt yet?
